- The National Association of Holistic Health Practitioner N.A.H.H.P is a professional organization dedicated to serving the needs and maintaining the professional standard of practitioners practicing aesthetics, medical aesthetics, advanced medical aesthetics, cosmetic nurse injectors, holistic nutrition, basic and advanced nursing foot care, spa practitioners, complementary and holistic health therapies.
- One of the principle goals of the association is protecting and educating the public in providing license certification of practitioners who have completed all the necessary skills requirement in passing the theory and practice of their respected program, taken in a recognized college, private career college, or private education institution whose program or curriculum is recognized and approved by the N.A.H.H.P accreditation body.
- To promote public awareness about the benefits that the medical aesthetician, certified foot care nurse, certified cosmetic nurse injector and holistic health practitioner bring to the health arena in their practice of complementary therapy.
- To promote an established standard for the professional spa practitioner, natural health practitioner, medical aesthetician, basic and advanced nursing foot care and holistic health practitioner. Regardless of the discipline(s) in which the practitioner was trained, they must have enough; basic anatomy, physiology, pathology, evaluation, safety, infection control and communication skills. It is also essential to know when to proceed or not to proceed when providing care when working with clients.
- In maintaining professional standards in aesthetics, spa, and holistic health. NAHHP is working with the ministry of Advanced Education and training formally Ministry of Training Colleges and University in accrediting programs offered in private career colleges, community colleges in aesthetics, medical aesthetics, basic and advanced nursing foot care, spa practitioners and holistic health.
- In maintaining professional standards in private education institution, private career colleges, and community colleges. NAHHP will accredit the above education institution who meet all of the accreditation criteria including; that the education institution must be registered with Human resource and skills development Canada (HRDC) as a Skills Building facility in esthetic, medical aesthetics, holistic health studies, or spa practitioner.
- To advocate professional development and promote continuing educational training for the medical aesthetician, foot care nursing, natural health, and the holistic health practitioner.
- Recommend schools and education institution that meet professional standards regarding training in medical aesthetics and holistic health studies.
- In maintaing standards in aesthetics and holistic health services. N.A.H.H.P. is working with various cities to eradicate unqualified aestheticians, and holistic health and spa practitioners who are setting up in private practices. This is done by ensuring that aestheticians, spa practitioners, natural health, and holistic practitioners meet qualified criteria to be licensed as holistic health practitioners with the association as a licensed holistic health practitioner. In being licensed with N.A.H.H.P. Ensure that the holistic practitioner is bonded by the association code of ethics and guiding principles when providing safe care. If in breach of N.A.H.H.P. code of ethics, the practitioners license can be revoked.
